“E.T.” Phone Bone: Katy Perry Out Of This World In Alien Make-Up

Katy Perry looks good without make-up. Just kidding! The singer has herself looking like the centerfold of a Klingon Playboy for Katy’s upcoming “E.T.” video, which drops March 31. Kanye joins Perry on the space-themed jam, though we highly doubt he subjected himself to hot pink forehead hieroglyphics. That being said, if West ended up going full diva-in-Fifth-Element for the shoot, we would not be happier. This look is a pretty large departure from the Candyland-on-acid costume Katy was sporting last summer for “California Girls.” Instead of whip-cream shooting out of boob canisters, we’re hoping Katy’s new vid has Alien babies exploding out of chest cavities. But you know, still all sexy-like.

Russell Brand: “Fame Is Not All That Good”

Russell Brand, like so many other celebrities, always dreamed of being an entertainer, but now that he’s famous, he’s not really loving life in the spotlight. For the past year, Brand has been working about a documentary about happiness, produced by Oliver Stone and directed by Albert Maysles, and in the film he explains that fame is not quite what he thought it would be. “I’m famous now,” he says. “I didn’t used to be but, when I was younger, I always wanted to be famous. I thought it would make me happy. But now I’ve got fame and some of the things that I thought would make me happy — it ain’t worked.”
It’s hard to tell if Brand is actually unhappy with his life or just unhappy with fame, and he only adds to the confusion saying “I don’t want to say, ‘Lavish sympathy upon me’. I can imagine what people will say, ‘Wasn’t it as good as you anticipated? Was it when you were single and all the sex and the boozing that was disappointing? Or is it really starting now you are living in a mansion with three cats and Katy Perry? You have suffered’. It’s just peculiar to me, a lad growing up in Essex, London, that I would attach such importance to becoming famous and things, and it’s not all that good.” No word on when we’ll actually be able to see this documentary, and according to an interview with Brand, it’s been in the works for nearly two years.

Are Katy Perry And Russell Brand In Couples Therapy?

Here’s some news we really don’t want to believe (and it does come from Life & Style Magazine, so we don’t necessarily have to). The magazine reports that Katy Perry and Russell Brand‘s new marriage is already on the rocks after just three short months of wedded bliss. A source says that the pair have sought out couples therapy because they spend so little time together due to their busy careers. The source says that before Katy began her “California Gurls” tour this January, she “started asking friends to recommend a marriage counselor,” which actually sounds pretty healthy to us if she’s preemptively trying to work on things before they even spend time apart.
Katy is currently touring in Europe and Brand, who has been wrapping up filming on the Arthur remake he’s starring in is likely somewhere between the moon and New York City.

Christmas Tree Topper Katy Perry Wants Loads Of Babies With Russell Brand

This photo of Katy Perry from Grazia Magazine looks like it belongs in Awkward Family Photos or something, doesn’t it? Alas, it was just Katy, putting on some holiday cheer for her interview with the mag, decked out in crystal star headpiece and…a towel? In her interview, Katy discusses her life with new husband Russell Brand, saying “What can I say? He’s brilliant. Every day he amazes me. . .This relationship is real, it’s not a photo opportunity, it’s two people who have found what they want.”

Perry also says that the Brands plan to start a brood soon, saying “I don’t want to miss out on any experience. I want lots of children.” And of course, since she put the star on top of her tree head for the interview, she had to mention what the couple’s holiday plans are.  “We’ll open one present the night before because that’s the tradition in my family,” she explained. “And we’ll do something new. We’ll start our own new tradition because we are a family now.” She’s not all tradition though—she did mention  that the Brand family Christmas tree is pink. Of course.

While hubby Russell Brand hobnobs with the Royals and other famous Britons in London, Katy Perry is taking a decidedly more low-key approach to her week by going on a casual bike ride in New York City. Did we say casual? We meant totally awesome ninja-style ride. Glee To Perform Katy Perry's 'Teenage Dream' on Next Episode

It's going to be a big week on "Glee" this week, and to help alleviate the overwhelming sensation of epicness that comes with every episode, here's a sneak peak of one of the numbers coming up in tomorrow's (Nov. 9) edition.
Creator Ryan Murphy and the rest of the glee club will take on bullying, especially targeted at gay teens in this week's "Never Been Kissed" episode. When Kurt tires of being pushed into lockers and slushied because he's the only gay student at McKinley High, he considers transferring to an all-boys school. On his first day, the students give Kurt a perfect performance of Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" that brings Kurt (and us) nearly to tears. We have our fingers double crossed that the brown-eyed cutie in this number will become Kurt's rumored boyfriend for this season.
